In order to welcome the 75th anniversary of the motherland and help students to put their deep patriotism to the country in the pragmatic service to the country, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering held the "boxing patriotism, long service to the country" as the theme of the National Day viewing activity in the A101-102 hall of Linjiang Building on September 29.

The patriotic film "Qian Xuesen" was shown at the event, which mainly tells the story of Qian Xuesen's life as a young man who went to the United States to study and made great achievements after returning to China. The first half of the film follows Qian Xuesen as he studies and works in the United States, overcoming obstacles and enduring five years of unreasonable detention when his country needs him. "In my country, I can do anything," he said. "I can plant apples if I want to." After returning to the motherland, Mr. Qian Xuesen led the scientific research team to overcome difficulties by self-reliance. On November 5, 1960, the first missile flight test of our country was successful, and on October 27, 1966, the nuclear warhead developed by our country successfully exploded. Mr. Qian gazed at the mushroom cloud and said, "This is the apple I planted."

At the event site, the students watched the film wholeheartedly and learned about Mr. Qian's indomitable scientific spirit and deep concern for human well-being. At the end of the film, there is a real image of Mr. Qian Xuesen. In his final years, he is still concerned about the fate and development of the motherland. Numerous frost is full of heart blood, sprinkle to Qianfeng Qiuye Dan. Some students exclaimed: "Mr. Qian's life is really hot and warm."
