In order to help 2024 freshmen integrate into university life faster and deal with interpersonal relationships better, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering organized a mental health education lecture of "Starting from the heart" on the second floor of the student activity Center on November 4. The keynote speaker of this activity was Li Wenhao, a teacher from the school Psychology Center. All freshmen and counselors participated in this activity.
Li Wenhao specifically analyzes the types and causes of problems in different aspects such as stress management, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationship processing, and provides many practical tips to alleviate stress and internal friction. He helped students pay attention to "pressure" and understand themselves through small games. He introduced the source and performance of pressure and the relationship between pressure and emotion in detail. At the same time, he encouraged the freshmen to step out of their comfort zone, actively communicate with others, participate in more extracurricular activities, and enrich their extracurricular life. College life has just begun, and different individuals adapt to the new environment at different speeds. He hopes that students can learn to self-regulate. If they encounter difficulties, they can go to the school psychological counseling room for consultation. Finally, he wished all the freshmen of the Institute of Telecommunications to have an unforgettable and fulfilling university life.
After the meeting, the students said that they would welcome university life with a positive and optimistic attitude, timely communication, self-regulation, and more physical exercise to enrich their extracurricular life. The successful holding of this lecture will help students to better master self-regulation methods, so as to face learning and life with a more positive and healthy attitude
