Communication and exchange inspire new thoughts; collision of thinking promotes transformation. On the afternoon of October 9, 2024, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering successfully held a conference themed "Progress Report on Natural Science Foundation" in A916-A917 of Linjiang Building, aiming to further promote the development of the National Natural Science Foundation projects of the college and conduct an effective evaluation of their progress.
First of all, Vice Dean Wan Fayu gave a brief introduction to this conference. Then, ten outstanding young teachers successively gave special reports on their personal National Natural Science Foundation projects, elaborating in detail on their research progress, achievements obtained, and future plans. During the reporting process, the expert review panel composed of three professors, Huang Xiaogu, Liu Guangjie, and Wan Fayu, gave professional evaluations on the research progress of the reporting teachers of each project and put forward professional opinions and suggestions. Under the careful guidance of the review experts, the reporting teachers and review experts had in-depth and enthusiastic discussions on the main issues in order to better improve the research methods of personal natural foundation projects, improve the quality of output of results, and thereby improve the research level and influence of the projects.
The successful holding of this progress report meeting on the National Natural Science Foundation has built a high-quality platform for scientific researchers in the School of Electronic and Information Engineering to communicate and display scientific research results, effectively strengthened exchanges and cooperation among young teachers in the college, promoted the transformation of scientific research results and the development of disciplines, and at the same time injected new vitality and motivation into the scientific research work of the college. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, the natural foundation projects of young teachers will surely lay a solid foundation and bear fruitful research results in the near future.
