The School of Electronic Information welcomes the new students of 2024.

Jan 11, 2024

On September 7, the School of Electronic Information welcomed the 2024 undergraduate freshmen. To welcome the arrival of these newbies, the orientation work of the School of Electronic Information started early. The college leadership attaches great importance to this orientation work. The whole college planned in advance, made thorough arrangements, and carefully prepared to create a "four-hearted orientation" work pattern of "worry-free registration", "heart-warming service", "reassuring growth", and "dedicated development" to help freshmen quickly unlock their new university life.

At the registration site, all work was carried out in an orderly manner.

At 7:00 in the morning on the day of registration, college leaders, counselors, and orientation volunteers came to the downstairs of the freshmen's dormitory to arrange the site in advance and complete all preparations. The already packed freshman material bag contains the school emblem, the exclusive card holder of the School of Electronic Information, and an anti-fraud reminder signature pen. After the freshmen arrive, volunteers help carry luggage and guide the dormitory route. Volunteers at the registration site are responsible for checking certificate materials, scanning codes for registration, distributing material bags, and guiding freshmen to participate in creative orientation activities. All work is carried out in an orderly manner. It is worth mentioning that all student party members of the college's "Three Micro Workshops" also spontaneously set up a "Party Member Pioneer Post" at the orientation registration point, giving full play to the exemplary vanguard role of party members, and going to the freshmen's dormitories to carry out anti-fraud and anti-scam safety lectures to ensure full coverage without missing a single person.

Welcome freshmen with care to give freshmen a stronger sense of belonging.

The orientation site shows the college's enthusiasm for freshmen and the ingenuity of the orientation work. All kinds of orientation activities are splendid. All kinds of colorful creativity are all welcomes and expectations for new students. The college also held a collective birthday party for students whose birthdays are on September 7. College leaders sent birthday cakes and blessings to the birthday students. At noon on September 7, the college also held a parents' meeting for the 2024 freshmen. All parents established a close connection with the college through online and offline methods. Through the "first lesson for freshmen's parents", home-school interaction is enhanced to help freshmen adapt to the new environment as soon as possible.

Zhang Zhizhong, the dean of the School of Electronic Information, and Zhang Mingju, the party secretary, went deep into the orientation site to learn in detail about the real-time progress of registration and various service guarantee work, and to express condolences to the teachers and volunteers participating in the orientation work, thanking them for their hard work and meticulous service. The college leaders also visited the freshmen's dormitories to see the freshmen, and had cordial exchanges with the freshmen who had already checked in and moved in to understand their impressions of the school, living needs, and university plans, and encouraged them to adapt to university life as soon as possible, actively participate in various school activities, and study hard to start a good start for a beautiful university life.

With the joint efforts of all teachers and students in the college, the registration work for 2024 undergraduate students in the college was successfully completed. The college will continue to take advantage of the opportunity of freshman orientation education to give freshmen a good first lesson in university and lay a solid foundation for their four years of study and life in university.
